Lucy Lavender
Board Member
Lucy Lavender received her Master of Education from the College of William and Mary (Community Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy) and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama (Psychology/Social Welfare). She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. She has worked in various settings to include: schools/universities, military installations, hospitals, judicial system, foster care and disaster response. Currently her focus is on assisting organizations after a critical incident/trauma or disruptive event. In this capacity, Lavender provides onsite/virtual critical incident response support to employees through group or individual debriefings, psychoeducation, and management consultations.
Lavender has personal and professional experience helping individuals process grief. We are thrilled to have her on the team as her love of others knows no bounds. We are delighted to have her on the Board of Directors as we know she will be a blessing to both children and families at Kyle’s Mountain House.
