Our Inspiration
Kyle’s Mountain House is dedicated to honoring the legacy of Kyle Wojahn
Kyle was the son of Sharon and Jeff Wojahn. He loved family time and the great outdoors and this tremendous passion for nature led him to study Geology at the University of Arizona. Kyle enjoyed nothing more than challenging himself with all kinds of adventures including mountain climbing and fishing and sharing these good times with his friends and family.
At just 24 years old, Kyle received his glioblastoma diagnosis. When doctors told Kyle that after brain surgery he might never walk again, he went on to astound everyone by continuing to climb mountains, play golf, fish, and test his mental and physical stamina. He was a total optimist and lived a life full of adventure, refusing to take no for an answer.
When the idea of creating a palliative care home began, we envisioned Kyle being here with us on the day of the grand opening as the champion behind the cause. Kyle would remind everyone that miracles do happen, and challenges can be overcome. Although Kyle’s life ended much too soon, we believe he is still with us on this journey and continues to walk with us each step of the way, guiding us from above.
