Building a respite care facility for children and their families
Welcome to Kyle’s Mountain House
What is KMH?
Here's an overview
We are building a state of the art facility for children and their families who need some extra support. While there are many families that could use extra support, Kyle’s Mountain House is focused on children and young adults with complex medical challenges who need respite or palliative care and those at the end of life.
Why is Kyle’s Mountain House Needed?
Three Types of Care
What is Respite Care
Respite care is planned short-term breaks for families and other unpaid caregivers of children and adults with disabilities or cognitive loss in order to support the primary caregiving relationship.
What is Palliative Care
Palliative care is a caregiving approach aimed at optimizing quality of life and mitigating suffering among people with serious, complex, and often terminal illnesses.
What is Hospice Care
Hospice care focuses on the care, comfort, and quality of life of a person with a serious illness who is approaching the end of life.
28 nights per year
At Kyle’s Mountain House, families will receive up to 28 nights per calendar year of respite care for their family member. An unlimited stay is provided for families who have a loved one at the end of life.
